Overview:
The Life Card is a niche real steel firearm, that when folded up, is the size of a credit card. The uniqueness of this grabbed myself, and many others attention; and we wanted it in airsoft form. AllenAirsoft was originally created as a shell company just to sell these replicas, and keep it separate from our Japanese replicas. In short, we produced 2 different versions, the Generation 1s (Made fully in house here in Kentucky.) and a generation 2, which we worked with a chines manufacturer for.
Quality:
GEN 1
we'll admit, the quality between models was iffy at best. Well start with the generation 1s, its features, as well as externals. We only produced 10 of the Gen. 1s; of these 10, 4 were tan, 5 were black, and there was 1 Pink one. They had a retail price of $40 and sold out quite quickly. They were full polymer, with a resin casted upper and 3d printed lower. They had a fairly short sear, which led to misfires if dropped. They featured full trademarks and a functional open switch. The generation 1s also came with a "hopup" of sorts, which both secured the BB (Which had to be front loaded) as well as made it shoot. The BB was propelled by physically being smack with the charging handle when fired(Pictured). This unfortunately gave the BB a fairly short range (~5 feet). In the above image you can also see the little circle below the barrel. This was a spot for a small magnet to be inserted, which worked with holsters we produced for these replicas. The magnet would secure the replica into the holster. Each of the 10 Generation 1s shipped inside a cardboard box, with a (poorly done) hand drawn front sketch on the front, on the right side featured details about what the box contained. The box also featured custom 3D printed packaging supports as well as a paper manual (Included at the bottom of this document)
GEN 2
The generation 2s were made with the assistance of a nerf gun factory in china. They supplied us with a majority of the internal components, as well as a full metal aluminum shell! The Generation 2s lacked trademarks, as well as a hopup, but made up for it with a new air piston system that increased the replicas shooting range to almost 10 feet. The new system was also prone to firing if dropped unfortunately though. The gen. 2s launched with a retail price of $60, and did not feature a custom box nor manual; in total we produced exactly 100 of these. Id also like to mention that the Gen. 2s used shells, and came with 5 total, additional were sold at $0.25 each. These replicas only came in a chrome colors scheme, or black.
