Maruishin COP357 Review

Maruishin COP357 Review

OVERVIEW

The COP357 was a answer to a problem that didn't really exist. its creation was aimed towards a police force that was using outdated revolvers, so their solution was make a more uncomfortable revolver, that only held 2/3 the rounds. sweet deal right?

Well this is airsoft and real things dont matter, Marushin did an amazing job recreating this beauty. The replica has all the trademarks beautifully engraved, the barrels open letting the user load their round, or BBs. its just amazing

QUALITY

The COP is a very high quality replica, as is most guns coming from marushin, this beautiful piece features a body made of either HW or ABS depending on the model, as well as coming in 3 color options (chrome, black, and gold.) THe pistol also came in 2 calibers (6 & 8mm). and finally marushin made models that used shells instead of the bb being directly loaded into the chamber,

Regardless of the material of the body, they all feel cold to the touch and more like metal, than plastic. the pistol has okay range but has quite some fps behind it. The hinge and locking mechanism for the barrels is well designed and wont break under normal use, on the right side of the pistol there is a a safety. besides that you have a trigger with a very long pull, and of course the release latch on top.

INTERNALS AND OPERATION

Being pretty much a NBB with 4 barrels, the COP is fairly simple, gas is stored in the grip, with a hammer above it, which strikes a valve located ontop of the gas tank, releasing gas to whichever of the barrels is unlocked.

Disassembly is fairly easy, if you see a screw, take it out, if you see a pin, take that out too. not much is hidden in this design.
