Marushin Automag Review

Marushin Automag Review

Overview:

The Marushin Automag is a timeless classic gun, from the timer period where somewhat thought revolver rounds in a semi automatic pistol was normal. The replica was made in both HW and ABS models material wise, as for calibers it came in the marushin standard of 6MM and 8MM, and of course black and chrome colorways both fully engraved with trademarks. The pistol is fairly well built by marushin standards with no external part wobble. The internals are meh, but based around the WA hardkick system. The marushin automag could have definitely been better if it was fully made by marushin, unfortunately the molds got passed around a lot. originally being used as molds for a model gun replica, then a non blowback kokusai, eventually being sold to marushin. which had to work around the internal shapes.

Quality:

The quality is what you would expect of a replica in this price range ($350 at the time of writing). All, and i mean all features from the real firearm are wonderfully replicated, The trademarks, fire control group, safety controls, dual recoil springs, and of course the disassembly. This replica is 1:1 and feels massive in the hands, about on par with the deagle, but maybe slightly more conformable.

Internals:

Internally the replica is fairly simple, a single action only replica with a safety lever on the left side, as well as a slide catch. The nozzle is a WA Magna Blowback system, giving the replica its signature recoil and power! The trigger does feel a little slimy with long pulls and no good break, similar to a Tanio Koba VP70.
