Quality:

The marushin shell ejecting line still rivals the build quality of some modern pistols, they have very tight tolerances and an amazingly smooth action to load and eject shells properly. Disassembly is realistic on maxi models adding furtherto the realism in shell ejecting. shells are very affordable aswell, making it semi fieldable aswelll. all of the replicas feature proper trademarks. the Pre-Maxi series features metal parts on the lowers rear of the grips.

Internals:

Internally the Marushin shell ejecting pistols vary quite a bit. the MAXI series is the most recent and is a more traditional gas blowback system; gas is stored in the magazine and is hit by a hammer, releasing it to the blowback unit, which in turn blows back the pistol. The non-maxi series is quite a bit older, and uses a blowback system akin to marushins uzis and M1 Garands. Gas is stored in the gun itself, and is released via a valve being pressed when the trigger is pulled. This then fills a long tube at the end of the replica with gas, and this is what actually "blowsback" the slide.

What are the advantages and disadvantages to each system?

System

Reliability Realism Spare parts Notes

 Maxi

The maxi system is slightly less reliable as there is more "Going on"

The Maxi model uses gas in mag, which makes the shells it uses smaller. This gun does not have a chamber and more so holds the shells like an m1100 The maxi is slightly more tradition and minor compatibility with other brands. no maxi models are the same We carry parts for all of our replicas. the choice is up to you. the maxi model is more fieldable but less reliable and realistic.
Non-Maxi Non-Maxi is more reliable do to having a hammer under a lighter load and more robust blowback system The non-maxi model is gas in gun, allowing for full length properly sized shells. This gun has a chamber The non-maxi model has no compatibility with other brands, however any other non-maxi model shares parts. theyre all the same internallly
