Maruzen M1100 Review

Maruzen M1100 Review

OVERVIEW

The maruzen M1100 is a one of a kind shotgun, not only is it the only gasblowback shotgun ever (as of time of  writing.), but it is also shell ejecting, which mainly appeals to the collector market. The shotgun is a proven design, still using the BV, Which is a proven design from the "way before AEG times". the shotgun overall feels very solid, has a great feeling when loading when firing, a nice double action only trigger, and crisp recoil.

Several people have done conversions to turn these into benelli style shotguns, aswell as spas 12. using the marui bodies.

QUALITY

The shotgun is fully constructed from a heavyweight polymer, with minor exceptions such as the trigger, charging handle, and all internals. The shotgun comes in 2 variants, the long regular style, aswell as a more compact model marketed as a "revision" model. the revision features rails, and an ability to add a folding stock. the full length style comes in 2 furniture options, a Wood furniture, aswell as a polymer set. both are equally solid.

Everything feels very solid with no wobble; shells load and unload smoothly; all internal components are made of fairly nice, reliable metal; however they can have extraction issues over time, this is from the extractor wearing down over time, this can be avoided with o-rings around the shells.

INTERNALS AND OPERATION

The internal system is very well designed for the guns intended purpose, the long model holds 6+1 rounds, no it is not possible to ghost load it; this is due to the fact that this shotgun never actually chambers a round, instead it more so hides it underneath the bold carrier. So when loading, it can only be loaded normally, the user can not drop a round into the chamber. besides that minor complain, the platform is amazingly reliable, i have not had any ejection, nor loading issues myself. the shells are an odd design that holds 5 BBs per shell using a rubber like inner tubing.
