Tokyo Marui Steyr GB Review

Tokyo Marui Steyr GB Review

Overview:

The tokyo marui steyr GB is an all polymer, NBB pistol. The pistol features a 18 round stick-type magazine. a gas tank built into the replica, and a non adjustable hop-up. while a few of those terms may be discouraging the pistols is surprisingly build, rivaling the build quality of lower to mid tier companies like WE or KWC. The real steel pistol originally launched as a competitor to glock in the 70s-80, however fell out of favor as glock won the military trials

The pistol arrives in a gorgeous red outer box; removing that you can see its nicely held by a custom Styrofoam lower half. Typically there will be BBs and a gas cannister in here depending on where you source from.

Quality:

when you hear that this replica has full polymer externals; you may feel a little let down; However it definitely has some of the nicest, most high quality polymer ive ever seen used on a pistol; way out-classing glock by other companies in the same price range.

It has nicely cut trademarks in the slide and frame for collectors and player alike, the sights are non adjustable but hold accurately to the pistol. The slide is able to be pulled back with a 1:1 recoil spring weight. Id like to mention that the front end-cap of the pistol is actually a metal component; maybe i lied about the all polymer part.

Internals:

Internally the Steyr GB is a similar design to the famous marui MK23; having full metal internals aswell as a single and double action hammer. The pistols has its nozzle pushed forward when the trigger is pulled; chambering the BB. Like i previously it has a non adjustable hop-up but range does seem to be in the 20-40 feet area.

The magazines are odd stick types but nothing too peculiar. i found the easiest way to load them is via pushing the rear tab down with your thumb and inserting BBs via a speed-loader at the front.
